Vending machine telemetry & monitoring — South Africa

The portal shows what’s really happening.

Every VendBot machine sends a heartbeat, so a problem shows up in the portal before you have to drive out and look. Cash and card sales land reconciled, restock runs are guided from a phone, and owner, reseller and restocker each see only their own fleet.

Prices are set on the machine, not the portal — the portal reports what sold, it never pushes a price change. See Payments & Hardware.

Offline shows up before you have to ask

Every machine sends a heartbeat every three minutes. Miss enough of them and the portal marks that machine offline — you find out from the dashboard, not from a customer complaint or a wasted drive. Power-loss and power-restore events log themselves alongside it.

Each machine also carries its own diagnostics panel in the portal, so a call to a technician starts with something to go on, not a guess.

Live in the portal today

What operators open every day

Not a roadmap slide — this is what’s running on real sites, right now.

Sales, reconciled

Cash and card sales land side by side in the portal, already reconciled — export the lot to CSV whenever you need a report outside it.

Offline sales queue

If the connection drops mid-sale, the sale is queued on the terminal and sent through once it’s back.

Product mapping & restock runs

A restocker’s phone shows what’s meant to be in each slot. A stepper counts what actually went in, with a photo to confirm the shelf.

SIM & connectivity management

Each machine switches from WiFi to cellular automatically if the site’s WiFi drops, and back again once it’s up — proven in the field. SIMs are managed from the portal, with auto-recharge capped so a stuck SIM can’t run away with cost.

Owner, reseller, restocker roles

Each role gets its own view. Nobody sees machines that aren’t theirs.

Operator app

The dashboard is available as an installable web app and as an Android app on Google Play.

Branded allowance cards are built for your site on request: a card your business issues, with an allowance your team sets and tracks from the portal — not a separate financial account. See Industries.

Payments and hardware are covered on Payments & Hardware; putting your brand on the terminal itself is covered on Your Brand.
